Place was easy enough to find with adequate parking right outside. On going in there was a friendly welcoming greating and there was nothing to check-in. After check-in we were asked if would be having an evening meal which we accepted. We had opted for a larger double room and it was clean and tidy and what you would expect from a rural country inn. We arrived to a lovely friendly greeting from Suruchi, we were given a walk around of the property, offered information on things to do and places to go. We chose this as a central location that was dog friendly for the three of us to stay. Nice location, nice property and the room was clean and tidy. Would definitely use this property again on another stay in the lakes. Thank you for making our 4 night stay so memorable.

Stayed for 3 nights (1st week Feb) and had a great, relaxing break. The type of hotel is in the name, "The Lodge...", and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and has a large television with all the Freesat Channels. I mainly used it as a base for when I went walking, but the snowfall on the first morning put a slight dent into my plans. The staff are excellent and very friendly, and I will definitely return sometime soon.

What a great hotel. It is quite isolated, but is a little gem. Built in the 1930s, it retains many of its original art deco features and has been well maintained and sympathetically furnished for the period. After storms, we had a short power cut and I almost expected to hear a scream from a maid discovering a crime and Hercule Poirot appearing.
