"The city double was so much better than expected. Spacious room and big bathroom. Breakfast had good choices. The gatsby bar was a beautiful area to sit and drink the night away. Staff were very attentive."

"The hotel is lovely, well situated and very clean. Staff were few but very pleasant Spa was ok, but pool not very big Food was high quality and well presented Booked on line for restaurant, but no record of bookings when we checked in. All in all 7out of 10"
Woodlands Guest House Windermere

"The room is cosy and comfortable, with plenty of parking spaces in both the front and back of the building. The made-to-order breakfast was very good, although it doesn’t start until 8:30 a.m. The location is convenient—about a 10-minute walk to town and a 15-minute walk to the lakeside."

"The food in the restaurant was not very good at all. Very little selection . The menue was the same each evening, including the soup of the day. The out side patio needed the ash trays emptying and rubish off the floor. The staff were lovely but at times there was not enough of them on shift. Resulting ln a long wait at the bar to be served."

"Staff were amazing, hotel was very old though. Just the 1 small lift. Gutters were overflowing when it rained. But location is class. Car parking is a massive issue however that’s not really the hotel fault but Just one to be aware of, although the hotels answer to the parking issue is to charge you £25 to use their car park but even that gets full by 1100. So plan ahead for parking. Breakfast is nice. Overall a good stay with amazing staff but just a very aging hotel with signs money has dried up."

"We have stayed at this hotel several times & as usual staff were friendly & hotel lovely. Room was immaculate with everything we needed. Breakfast delicious with good choice of food. Only slight issue was poor shower. Wouldn’t stop us returning though !"

"Lovely hotel, very well situated and very friendly staff. Our room was located outside of the main building with private parking right outside. We also had a small private seating area outside which was really nice. The room had everything we needed aside from shower gel so make sure to bring your own!"
