"we enjoyed our 2night stay , room 116 is the best stramnge as they only have 41 rooms, as recomended by Tyler ( A future manager ) who was on reception ,plus he was realy helpful on letting us know what was happening in the hotel and surrounding areas eg Bexhill etc. Not a massive hotel ,but due to really hot weather we made full use of the terrace and private garden area. One complaint !! the shower tray is very slippery when wet.A non slip tray would be safer. Otherwise EXCELLANT two night stay."

"Attractive and warm hotel with great communal spaces and restaurant and cosy rooms, breakfast is generous and tasty. Perfect location for exploring Rye. Some of the rooms a bit of a walk away, so do check if you have mobility issues. "

"We were impressed straight away with how picturesque the hotel and area was, plus everywhere seemed so peaceful. This was then further enhanced thanks to the fabulous staff. The staff made us feel very welcome and they were really enthusiastic about making our experience a positive one. Ted, in the Moet and Chandon Bar, along with his Manageress, were stand out staff for us. Ted loved to make us cocktails and we certainly enjoyed drinking them! The room was comfortable and very clean, the spa facilities were ideal and the restaurant food was excellent. Definitely a hotel that we would like to return to. "

"Flawless. We loved our stay at The Ship Inn and I strongly recommend it for any stay in Rye. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of town. The pub is beautiful and historic and the room itself modern and faultlessly clean. Some little details I really appreciated: tea and coffee and kettle in the room (with oat milk sachets!), a deep bath, tv, desk fan and a very comfy, spacious bed. 10/10"
