Mary Mount Hotel

"We had such a welcoming stay at the Mary Mount. The views are incredible. The staff are really lovely. We found the breakfast to be of a very good standard. Fabulous stay. We will definitely be staying again."
The Grange Country House

"As we were checking out, we booked a stay at The Grange for next summer, and I'm already looking forward to returning. Pretty much everything about The Grange Country House is wonderful. The location feels like it’s a bit away from town but it's an easy 15 minute walk to the main square. The staff were exceptionally attentive and so very welcoming. They seem genuinely kind, and are glad to answer any questions you might have. Our room was large with stunning views, and it was immaculate. The bathroom looks to have been completely redone quite recently, either that or it’s just maintained perfectly well. I don’t stay in many places where I actually want to spend time hanging out in the room but this was an exception. I spent plenty of time in front of the window in a cozy chair looking out at the fells with a cup of coffee and a toffee biscuit (both provided in the room). Breakfasts were wonderful, as was the service at breakfast. The breakfast room is bright and airy and we had lovely conversation with fellow travelers - everyone was so friendly! Overall: 10/10, exceptional, hands down."

"Lovely hotel, clean comfortable room all be it a bit small even though it was described as a cosy double it was small, ok for a 2 night stay but would not be ideal for longer. Air conditioned was a bonus Breakfast was excellent both mornings."

"Really good stay and great location, gym could do with an upgrade, staff great, beautiful gardens ideal if you also have a dog, room cleaned daily."

"Breakfast was lush, a few bits had went unnoticed in the cleaning, Also I'm not happy I booked a double room and it was two single beds pushed together, As we were getting jiggy they came apart, not the worst place ever but not the best x"

"Visited Berwyn Bank for the second time last weekend as a family group of 12 (Age range 4-84). The house is perfect and had everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. Impeccably clean, comfortable and warm. A wonderful getaway for a blue January! We loved the pool and hot tub. Travelled to Keswick for a walk one day and went for a wonder down the river in Cockermouth the other which was nice! Carol is a wonderful host! Thanks for having us again!"
