"Had a stunning weekend away at the beechcroft stunning sea view from the terrace and beautiful coastal walks, staff are exceptional and clearly take pride in the service they provide, would definitely recommend staying here and I would love to stay in one of their beach huts at some point as I didn’t know they were there until I saw them"

"I stayed at the royal maritimime hotel for 2 nights and the room was very comfortable,the bathroom was lovely and big and there was daily housekeeping. Only downside is I noticed after the housekeeping had been, in the shower the small bottle of shower gel was still on the floor in the shower so I don't think the shower had got done but that is my only criticism. I had breakfast on my first day and there was good choice and it was nice and hot , I choose to have breakfast in town on my 2nd day as I had gone for room only and if you wanted to add breakfast on it's £15.95 if you add it at time of booking it's alot cheaper. I used the bar once on my visit and the lady in the bar was very friendly. The lady's on reception was also very friendly but I had a lovely chat with the lady in the bar I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Portsmouth as it's only a short walk from the shopping centre and bars restaurants and train station . I walked back on my own from the cinema after midnight on my first night and felt very safe."

"A lovely hotel, that goes all-in with the railway theme. Although it is a pub-hotel, it has been recently refurbished, with all-electronic access, so nobody can get to the bedroom area unless they are staying there. Half-price food in the pub on Mondays was a pleasant surprise, and the friendly - if slightly quirky - staff were a joy to interact with. The room was comfortable, and the family room we stayed in had a separate bunk-bed area for the child, each bunk having its own light. Parking-wise, you can choose from the station car park, a one-minute walk away, or the free on-street parking on the station one-way system (Only free between 6pm and 9am) I would absolutely stay here again!"
