"Overall we had a great stay at this place in Ollantaytambo. It is centrally located in town, about a 10-min walk from the train to Machu Picchu and a 5-min walk from the town center.Great views, comfortable beds, and nice kitchen amenities. However, the street dogs were very audible at night, and it was difficult to sleep even with earplugs."

"Incredible scenery, tucked in between the mountains of Peru. Hugo has a wonderful home. Lots of space with a fenced in yard, swing set and cabana. We enjoyed every inch of the space. Full kitchen was great for cooking and eating dinner in. The cabana was warm and bright in the morning sun for having breakfast. Their distance from town is far enough way for a quiet night's sleep, and close enough to walk into town if you're feeling adventurous! Heated showers were a welcomed feature. "

"What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! The hostess was amazing and did everything for us, including organizing transportation, preparing meals, doing laundry, and giving us a nice hike recommendation. We are so grateful to have been able to spend our time in the Sacred Valley at Unuwasi!"

"I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay after trekking or touring the Maras salt mines, the Sacred Valley, or Machu Picchu. We stayed here after our four-day trek on the Inca Trail. The staff were friendly and very accomodating, the property is beautiful, the beds are very comfy, the water pressure is amazing, the hot tub experience was divine, the views are spectacular, and the food was wonderful. What an amazing experience. The room was clean, great shower with hot water and comfy bed. The food was incredible. The views were amazing. The hosts were so communicative. Picked us up and had dinner waiting on arrival. They thoughtfully put the heater on in our room so was super cosy. They even had hair straighteners. This place is truly a haven.

Very clean.
Great and very helpful staff.
Huge thank you to Jose (concierge) who had to run after us after we checked out to hand over my husband's headphones, which we left behind! This is so much appreciated!

The hotel was a little hard to find but when we did we were welcomed with a lovely smile from the receptionist. This is a delightful hotel run by local people and every staff member was very friendly and warm with the smiles. We used this hotel as a base while we explored Machu Picchu. This meant that we could leave our large rucksacks at the hotel while we travelled on to Agua Calientes. When we returned the whole town was in darkness as they were experiencing a power cut. This was a family trip with my husband and our two teenage children. We chose Urubamba because the altitude was lower than Cusco and we wanted a quiet place to acclimate to minimise sickness. We were only in Peru for 10 days so we couldn't really risk 'sick days'. I'm so glad we made that decision because staying at Lizzy Wasi was a joy. We had an excellent stay at Kamma Guesthouse. Liz was incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was lovely and a perfect start to the day.
The location is excellent, just a minute’s walk from the main square, making it ideal for exploring Ollantaytambo. The beds were very comfortable, the Wi-Fi was reliable, and there was always plenty of hot water after a long day out.

Hotel is fantastic with a very good breakfast choice , our flight was delayed and they waited until 11.30 pm for us to arrive and accommodated a slightly later check out . It’s family run and you get such a warm welcome as well as great recommendations of how best to spend your time .

The hotel is in a good location, in a quiet residential area, but still 10 minutes walk to the centre, and about 15-20 minutes walk to the train station. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains.

Property was in a beautiful setting a short walk away from Plaza de Armas. If you have wheeled luggage contact them when you arrive at the square for assistance. Rooms were clean and simple. Breakfast was lovely, simple but tasty, the crusty bread loved by us all. Staff were friendly and happy to help. A unique and memorable stay, one of my favourites.

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights. I’m very happy that we chose this hotel. It looks family run, provided a free breakfast that suited us fine, including eggs done as you choose. It has great views, plus a rooftop seating area. It’s in walking distance to wherever we chose to go.
Be aware that it involves some uphill walking to get to it, but that is typical of the town.
