An excellent hotel with character, class, and great service. I can understand why The Balmoral Hotel is such a famous place to stay when visiting Edinburgh.

I have never stayed at this hotel before and I will 100% be returning. Super clean, fantastic finish and the bed sheets were so soft! Couldn’t fault a single thing. We stayed on a Saturday night (on floor 9) and you could hear a tiny bit of noise from local streets but did not disturb our sleep one bit. All staff were super friendly too. Fab location too. Thank you so much.

Loved our stay here. Apartment was incredible, we could stay in it all day! Our favourite location in Edinburgh for bars restaurants etc. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Cant wait to return.

Once inside, the apartment was quiet, comfortable and very well resourced. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable 3 night stay, including a supermarket next door. The welcome pack of cereals, bread, fresh juices, milk and biscuits were an added bonus. Great location, walking distance to all the sights and excellent local independent shops. You must go to Mary's Milk Bar in the Grassmarket and Lovecrumbs across the street

What an incredible place to stay. Blackfriars Loft apartments are stunning. Furnished beautifully. Everything you could need was provided. The apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable and located so close to the Royal Mile. Beautiful bathroom and toiletries. Very handy to have a washing machine and drying rack. Fabulous whiskey and pizza bar directly under the apartment and fabulous place for breakfast next door. We were able to park directly in front of the building to unload luggage which...

Overall good experience! The hostel arranged fun activities offering everyone a chance to get to know one another. Lovely hosts/staff that were happy to help you, always. Fresh bathrooms, nice bedding and good sized pods.

Everything was just perfect plus the flexibility to checkout at 12:00 instead of 11am. An extra hour to enjoy the beauty of the room

Well located hotel right in the royal mile. Has its own parking which is easy to find and discounted for hotel guests. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my 2nd visit to the Scotsman Hotel. This time my wife was booked for 3 nights with her elderly mother. The room was spacious, very quiet and the view onto Princes Street was breathtaking. Breakfast was first rate - a fantastic selection of breads, fruit salads, cold meats, cheeses, cereal and of course the full cooked breakfast! Such an amazing location. We were up for the weekend and didn’t want to have to travel into town every day. The apartment is all we could have asked for.

Check in excellent. Room not too bad although being at the rear of hotel our room looked directly onto multi story building site and they started work very early. One one chin in room which was poor for a top end room. Bar and lounge could be more comfortable. Overall. Hotel was ok but very very very expensive.

Adored the lady that checked us in, who assisted us at a later point throughout our stay. The hotel was lovely, clean and warm. The swimming pool was a little cold at first but not too much of a problem. The room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast was phenomenal, with a continental bar to help yourself to. Really good location, central to all the touristy things including the castle, the elephant house, Scottish museum and even holy rood palace. Plenty of nearby restaurants and pubs.
