"Hotel Mount Fuji was one of the most memorable stays of my trip. Its elevated setting offers extraordinary views of Mount Fuji and Lake Yamanaka, especially at sunset. The hotel has a charming retro character, comfortable rooms, and an amazing breakfast. Spending my final evening in the sauna and outdoor hot spring while looking out toward the mountain was unforgettable. Thank you for accommodating me so warmly during my visit from Canada."
"This was a splurge for our Japan trip. I haven’t seen all of them, but I would say this is probably the best Onsen out there. It sits at the top of the mountain. Great buffet dinner and breakfast. Staff is perfection. Service is perfection. Thank you for such a great time Hakone. Everyone needs to go here at least once in their life."
"This was the most charming hotel with so much history and beautiful details. We stayed in the Angel room, which was gorgeous and spacious, and had an amazing view of the mountains. The gardens behind the property were so pretty with little walking paths and waterfalls. We loved the 1920's feel of the property. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend!"
"This is a family-friendly hotel with a strong focus on kids, so there are lots of children around, especially at lunch, which can be overwhelming. The hotel is very nice; the pool and gardens are also attractive. However, if you're visiting without small children, it might not be the best choice."
"Truely a 5⭐️ experience staying at Hotel Indigo. My partner and I booked a private onsen room which was a delight to enjoy in the mornings. The room amenities were well laid out and the attention to detail around the property was excellent. The staff clearly work together as a team to ensure that you have the most relaxing time possible.
We utilized both the short hiking trail and the shuttle service to explore the town of Gora up the hill. I wish we could have stayed for several more days, there's just too much to see.
During your stay I highly recommend making a reservation at Itoh for dinner, and the Gora brewery and grill for lunch. Gora has many other amazing restaurants as well. It is a quite town, where things close down a bit early. It's the perfect time to make your way back to the hotel for a hot bath and you can relax with a bottle of wine or sake.
Thank you!"

"Loved the room! Staying on the speedway was so cool. The hotel was modern and clean. There were lots of amenities and things to do, but everything was an upcharge. My son is a race fan and did the track walk. He said it wasn’t worth it. The sim racer was great, but a charge. The breakfast could have been better. Eggs are ordered at the table and we never once had a waiter come by. I asked for our order to be taken only to be left waiting and no order ever brought to us. Given this was an up charge, this was unfortunate. The whole experience was a let down."
"Great location, quick walk to the train station. Enjoyed the free snacks & drinks after 7pm social & the garden outside was so beautiful. Breakfast buffet was very good. I only wish I had more time to spend in Hakone. Loved it. Massage therapists did a great job as well."
