"Just to clarify the kitchen/shared bathroom situation: This is a converted house. Ground floor has bathroom off kitchen. Bathroom and kitchen are both domestic and fully equipped - kitchen has hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer etc. By all means bring a meal to heat up in the microwave for dinner but be warned there is no table to eat it at! Rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable but no table in there either, and sockets (or should that be socket?) are in very poor locations so bring long...

"After a rather pot holed approach road to the site you are greeted by a terraced bungalow complex. On my second night I discovered there is accommodation in the attic with bare floor boards- I had a rather noisy person above me! These should be carpeted as a courtesy to those on the ground floor.The person who checked me in was pleasant but not thorough with information. No shampoo and body wash provided as it's a budget price, but it still represents excellent value. Very comfy bed, fluffy white towels and plenty hot water / good shower pressure. "Easy check-in. We arrived an hour early as I thought check-in was 2pm not 3pm but our room wasn’t ready but we were able to store our luggage with reception whilst we went to eat lunch. I thought we would have a two bedroom apartment but it was actually two one-bedroom apartments with the adjoining door open. "It was more affordable than other places near the centre, only 5-10 minutes walk to Lime Street station. The apartment was clean and quiet too and check-in was straight forward. Only issue I had was a very uncomfortable bed that made a lot of noise every time you moved because it was a fold-away bed. They had put a mattress topper on to try and help but did not sleep well. Fine for one night but I wouldn't want to sleep there for consecutive nights on that bed. "
