"This is a tired hotel in a great area, it’s apparent the owners aren’t spending much on this place. The cleaning person should be fired. I was excited to stay here close to my daughter’s new apartment we were moving her into. The rating on Hotels.com is 9.2. No way this is a 9.2 hotel. We checked in with four people and had reserved 2 rooms. They were both the old motel rooms apparently. We checked out both, one smelled horrible like dirty diapers, had crumbs in the drawer, dirt on the floor, the window had dust and dirt behind the curtain. We looked at two other rooms, they were just as bad. The man at the desk gave us the vibe that we were interrupting his meal. He upgraded to inside the main hotel. When I opened the door, there was suitcases and clothes making it apparent this was occupied. Went back to front desk and got another (5th room now…) key and decided at this point, it’s not going to be much better. It was better than the garden suites, but old and tired. Remodeled in like 1993? Won’t be back which is a shame because this could be a great hotel with some decent housekeepers who actually clean and some upgrades to rooms."

"We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn and had such a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we arrived. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, and their kindness truly stood out during our stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, but what made the biggest difference was how genuinely caring the team was. It’s rare to find customer service that feels so personal and sincere anymore. We are very thankful for the hospitality and would absolutely stay here again!"

"Great location, safe to walk, close to grocery, cafes and restaurants. Easy access to station. I was not aware that we were going to stay in basement floor. The information on site must be transparent and clear. Areas for improvement; 2 bunk beds, slippery steps. I fell down and hurt my arm. Kitchen utilities are very poor. Plastic plates, cookware are not healthy. Mini oven is to small to handle. We could not cook meal. You can hear the conversation and any other sounds from upstairs. When they wake up, you wake up for sure!!"

"Hotel very much needs an upgrade of shared areas, where despite the signs, there is a strong smell of tobacco and weed. Room was clean and seviceable if rather dark decor, bedspreads need an upgrade. The owners are obviously hard working and keen that rooms should be up to standard.l, which they are, judging by mine (bedspread apart). Car necessary but there's a Denny's actoss the busy road, a useful plus. O'hare just minutes away. It's a serviceable motel. No breakfast"

"When I checked in, the room smelled overwhelmingly of bleach or clorox. The window was screwed shut so I had to sit in the room for an hour with the door open to air it out. After an hour I had to go out to get rid of a headache from the smell. I returned after midnight and the room still smelled. Tried to sleep through it but it was unbearable. The bed only had a thin top sheet, no ac/heater that I could see and the walls were so thin, I could hear everything above and next door. No towel rails anywhere so you had to hang towels from coat hangers. At three am I was still awake so I gave up and drove the 5 hours home."

"Booked a non smoking room, room obviously smelled of smoke. In the 2-3 hours we were there, people were yelling, fighting, and you can hear EVERYTHING, including every car that drives by on the road. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. Hotel refused to work with us on a refund when the room they provided was not matching what we booked."
