The Hotel grounds are stunning and there is a gorgeous view across Robin Hoods Bay. The room we stayed in was dog friendly but a bit dated although it was nice and clean. The mattress was a bit soft for our liking but the rest of the room was fine for a one night stay. The walks you can do from the hotel are amazing so loved the location.

This was out third visit here but first under new ownership. Now more of a wedding venue, including the panoramic restaurant which used to be a highlight. New dining room small and dark with uncomfortable benches to sit on so we only ate breakfast there and went out for our other meals. Building work ongoing and our room overlooked a builder's area so quite noisy and the corridor and overhead was noisy at night. The location of the hotel is fabulous as always and the gardens have been revamped but we won't be returning now.

After a long days walk on the Cleveland Way, we went down for dinner at 7pm, our food was served at 8:45pm. They had a big table booked in and were understaffed. We were ignored and were left sitting there for nearly 2 hours. My worst restaurant experience as far as service goes - ever! When it finally arrived the food was good. We were quite simply the unimportant guests…

Lovely staff who moved me to another room without fuss when my room smelt of new paint. Fabulous location and superb views from the restaurant and gardens. Generous coked breakfast and great staff here too. Some parts of the hotel were shut off due to refurbishment but this didn't affect my stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Raven Hall immensely. The hotel in Ravenscar has an absolutely amazing position overlooking the bay, cliffs and beyond. We had a lovely warm room with sea view which was very comfortable and roomy. All staff very friendly and helpful, plus the buffet breakfast is brilliant. We have been a few times now and will definitely return.

Absolutely stunning location! Amazing views ! The surrounding and the property makes the dump and cold weather looks and feel beautiful! Staff is very polite and helpful.
Needs a bit of updating and love, which I hope what the building work is at the moment is. We can’t wait to visit it again

Only faults of the room are stained carpet, cracked windowsil & poor water pressure and heat in bathroom.
Corridors in need of renovation and quite a few public rooms inaccessible due to work being done (it will be lovely when its done)
The lodges look exciting, would love to stay in one.
Evening meal and breakfast very nice

made to feel welcome on our return visit. We love the location, grounds, views are incredible from every angle. The restaurant was very good as usual. The decor is a little tired and there’s such a huge potential to turn the hotel into a showstopper 5*
