Good location close to everything

Posted 18-Nov-2017
Pros: Quiet location, great staff and food
Cons: Saturday night event was quite noisy but it was over by midnight
Location: Close to main A road and railway station, and on a bus route so transport links good. Not a lot in Wrexham itself but Chester is nearby
Good hotel, within walking distance of university and town centre. Hotel is also on a bus route to/from town centre. Room was clean and comfortable with an excellent tea/coffee tray and a proper kettle. Staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. The buffet breakfasts were very good with a lot of choice and the restaurant and bar meals were excellent and good value for money. Hotel was quiet with only a little traffic noise if the window was open at night.

Comfortable hotel in convenient location

Posted 19-Oct-2017
Pros: The location, the size of the room and the breakfast.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Central location. Plenty to do in and around Wrexham.
The Ramada Plaza has a relaxed and welcoming feel to it and has all the amenities and comforts that you'd expect. The room was large and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable at £8 and offered plenty of choices. Large free car park is a bonus.

Nice hotel let down by room noise and dreadful bed

Posted 16-Oct-2017
Pros: Location and low price
Cons: Maintenance
Location: Overnight transit stop
Staff were helpful, food was Good value and generous both at dinner and breakfast. Soon after unpacking the power circuit failed in my and another adjacent gues'st room. Sunday night it still took only a few minutes to fix. Then the desk light didn't work at all. The adjoining door to the next room allowed every word of the family next door's conversation through. And at bedtime I discovered the spring coil mattress on both beds had a significant subsidence and both were very noisy. This 2006 hotel just needs better maintenance and a refurb of door sealants and new mattresses. Location is great for Central Wales and Chester/Liverpool. I wanted to really like it's good rate, but noise and a poor bed just really disappointed. Staff, though, really well meaning and helpful.

Good stay at the Ramada and would stay again. Close to town. Breakfast needs sprucing up a bit though. Staff pleasant.

Lovely staff, great value

The hotel is easy to get to from the main A roads and has a large car park at the front. Check in was pleasant. For some reason I was given an accessible room (I think that is the current word for rooms for disabled people?) which was quite interesting - a lot of thought had gone into the design of the room so it was easy to manouveur around and there were plenty of pull cords to summon help. The room had lots of space, a good sized desk and plenty of power sockets. Wifi was also good enough to enable me to do all my work. There is a small gym with limited opening hours and a pool. Room service was excellent, very good value and good sized portions of decent food. Breakfast was also very good - sensible price, nice food and plenty of options. Overall the hotel was good value and the service was great, one lady in particular was obviously very cheerful and that impression is one that stands out and should be encouraged.

Long wait for food and drinks when ordered at the bar the staff were working the bar and working behind the reception area I thought the service was poor. The chap behind the bar had a shirt on that was too small with his shirt tails hanging out looked scruffy and unprofessional

Confortable hotel

Posted 04-Sep-2017 on Hotels
We stayed at the Ramada Plaza Wrexham for one night. The hotel was comfortable and modern and clean. There was plenty of parking and we had a room that was away from the road, ensuring it was quiet.
