The best time to go to Napa is during the shoulder seasons, from March to May and September to November, when the weather is pleasant and the vineyards are at their most picturesque.

During spring (March-May), the mustard flowers bloom, creating a beautiful yellow carpet between the vines, and the hills are lush and green. Temperatures are generally mild, ranging from 18-24°C, which is ideal for outdoor activities like cycling or hot air balloon rides. This period offers a good balance of comfortable weather and fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months.

Autumn (September-November) is harvest season, which is an exciting time to visit. The vineyards are bustling with activity, and the air is filled with the scent of fermenting grapes. The fall foliage adds stunning colours to the landscape. Temperatures are similarly mild, making it great for exploring the wineries and enjoying al fresco dining. This season is particularly popular with couples looking for a romantic escape, as many wineries offer special harvest tours and events.

While summer (June-August) offers warm, sunny weather, it's also the busiest and most expensive time to visit.
