The facilities and food superseded the 3 star rating. The beef on the Sunday dinner was the best beef I’ve tasted. The jacuzzi in the morning looking over a beautiful sun rise has set me up for the week. My new favourite hotel in the area.

Lovely hotel standard room very clean and comfortable. More vegetarian options on the menu would be welcome.

Lovely staff, food excellent, and rooms very comfortable. The only thing is you can't walk anywhere, and you are a bit stuck on the bypass, but this is no fault of the hotel. Would definitely return, plenty of food options nearby with Subway and Diner, but check the hotels food out, as it was excellent.

The hotel was an amazing place to stay in. Lots of history behind both the medieval and 19th century castles, which having an interest in meant it was the main draw for me. The amount of structure in tact from the original was great, you really get a feel for the context of the castle, and the later build is impressive in its own right. Lovely room with windows to open. On the beach and great staff. Pool was quiet and great for adult swim.

Excellent standard of hotel. Really liked the room, dinner, breakfast, atmosphere. The only minor negatives were the amount of listed TV channels which didn't work, no radio stations and our AC didn't seem to function although we didn't mention it to staff. Thoroughly recommend.

All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was very comfortable and warm. Breakfast was very reasonably priced at £4.50 for a a Continental breakfast with pastries, fruit, cereals and yoghurt along with tea/coffee.

Excellent facilities.Enchanting village location.I will say no more because everyone will want to go.

Very good break away at Ellesmere Port. Quiet location, seconds off motorway, and walking distance (10 mins) to bus stops & rail station - giving great access to Chester, Port Sunlight & Liverpool. Bedroom clean with all the usual amenities. Breakfast plentiful. Evening meal choices ok. Staff all friendly - so a good little break .

Everything was wonderful! Literally next door to the M&S arena. Perfect if you’re going to a concert!
