deserves more than 2 star rating. With the hot weather during our stay - the wall mounted fan was a godsend!! Only downsides were the windows were were difficult to open and a shower room would have been reparable.
The property is very close to the town centre (10 minute walk) and train station (15 minute walk). The only downside is that the apartment was quite dated and needed some maintenance/repairs. For example, the door was hanging off one kitchen cupboard, and one of the window handles was loose.
I liked the historical link to Charles Dickens. The atmosphere in the bar/restaurant was very good and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The carpet in the bedroom had a few stains

Great stay, very peaceful, friendly staff. Only small downsize was a light didn’t work, I’m sure this would have been fixed had I mentioned it but since it was a short stay I didn’t see the point. Other than that lovely stay.
