"Great room and staff but the restaurant was no better than a work cafeteria at premium prices. Additionally the snacks in the gift shop were very processed alternatives. Would highly recommend you eat off site if you can find something but there’s nothing around the hotel. This hotel is made for a one night layover only. "

"The property is ok but for the price it is lacking. 1. Rooms were small, shower leaked all over the floor. Rooms were clean however. Mini bar set up is nice. 2. Rooftop bar. First bartender was beyond rude. Obviously displeased we showed up 40 min prior to closing. Told us he closed in 20 minutes and huffed and puffed about it. While waiting at the bar, he prepped two drinks and another patron came in. The gentleman I was with grabbed the drinks so we could go sit and the bartender screamed “ Don’t touch the glass it is my job!” then proceeded to jump out from behind the bar and gesture that my friend could make the drinks himself and do the man’s job now. Just childish behavior. I had no interest in returning to that venue. Evenings were cool only one of two heaters worked. 3. The breakfast was well stocked and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. 4. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. As stated, a functional spot but lacking given the price. "

"We had a very bad experience at HU Roma. Due to a simple booking mistake, we had reserved one night less than intended. However, the way this was handled was extremely poor. When we returned at around 9PM, all of our belongings had already been removed from our room & placed in storage without proper notice. We received no email communication at all, which would have been the most reliable way to reach us as travelers. The staff mentioned they tried calling, but we had no missed calls. Without clear communication, it felt like we were abruptly evicted rather than assisted. We were then left to sort through our belongings outside in one of their tent gazebos for about 30 minutes, which was both stressful and uncomfortable. My wife also lost personal items which were probably thrown out during the process After all this, the staff eventually came back & said a larger room had become available. Unfortunately, by that time we had already been forced to look for another hotel and had secured alternative accommodation due to the uncertainty and lack of support earlier. We were ready and willing to pay for an additional night from the start, but no effort was made to properly coordinate or assist us in a timely manner. The situation could have easily been handled with basic communication and guest support. Mistakes can happen, but the way this was managed caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I would not recommend staying here based on this experience."
