Top activities for nature-lovers include visiting the grounds of the Villa Borghese, cycling through the expansive Caffarella Park and wandering through the city’s botanical gardens at Orto Botanico. There’s also a large natural reserve just south of Rome, the Regional Park of Decima-Malafede, which is notable for being home to hundreds of different plant species.
