"Restaurant for the evening was very elegant and the food was very good although on the pricier side. Breakfast was very basic compared to other places we have stayed at. There seemed to be a mistake made as we did not get the room we had booked and finally agreed to take an apartment that they had. The shower was so small that you hit the walls when washing and nowhere to put your soap or shampoo except the floor. No places to put your toiletries. The grounds were beautiful and clean. "We opted to stay in Padua instead of Venice as we wanted a more authenticate stay which is exactly what we got. The apartment is airy, clean and located in a lovely private courtyard. Our host Nicolo was excellent, meeting us on arrival and taking his time to give us recommendations of where to eat etc. We tried a number of his suggestions and all were brilliant.
