We recently stayed at the Strand for a quick weekend to NYC. The staff were SUPER friendly and nice, the hotel is in a great Midtown Manhattan location that is close to a ton and easy access to all. My only minor complaint was that the room was small (as most Manhattan rooms are).
Another trip to the city. Another stay at Hotel Metro. This is the ONLY place I stay for many reasons -- the easy access to all parts of the city, the friendly staff, the great complimentary breakfast, the large (for NYC) rooms. Will be back soon!
This was my first time staying at a Yotel (and in NYC, for that matter). The rooms are small and not overly private but are great for couples. Check in is relatively simple (there is help available for any hiccups). Also offered is a complementary muffin breakfast, decent wi-fi, and tv (some premium channels included). It was within walking distance of almost everything as well, there were countless shops and restaurances within 10-20 minutes of walking, and even more farther out!

Yotel is a first class hotel experience at an affordable price. Check in is all about efficiency. We have Kiosks that are …More
The hotel staff was very friendly as soon as we arrived but the hotel is under some construction there was only one elevator which was very small one. Location however it's amazing you're close to everything in New York and you have a subway less than a block away.
Very good staff. The air conditioner was intermittent. Offered another room but we chose to not move
The only down side was the hotel restaurant
It was a Tex Mex. not great for breakfast
I would stay there again
This hotel is located within a walking distance to many popular places including Times Square (~5 mins) and Empire State Building (~20 mins). On site parking is affordable. It a bit dated and needs some renovation but our room was clean. I will recommend to my friends visiting NYC.
Some of NYC’s best-known landmarks are north of 14th and south of 59th—or Midtown Manhattan. Its western half is home to Manhattan's largest venues: the Javits Center and Madison Square Garden. In the Garment District, designers try to stay a cut above fashion's latest trends. Nearby, Hell's Kitchen is hot thanks to Restaurant Row. In one block on West 46th, diners can dash from Bangkok to Brazil.
