"This was a lovely little hotel/pub in the heart of Stokesley. We were greeted at the desk and given room 4, which was large and had a large bathroom. We got help booking a cab for the football that was on in Middlesborough and waited with the landlady in the bar for a couple of drinks. Lovely couple ..."

    "This was a lovely little hotel/pub in the heart of Stokesley. We were greeted at the desk and given room 4, which was large and had a large bathroom. We got help booking a cab for the football that was on in Middlesborough and waited with the landlady in the bar for a couple of drinks. Lovely couple own the place and took over in 2019 so it has obviously been a hard couple of years with covid. The bar is large and well stocked and has a good choice. The rooms are a little dated, but they are updating these currently. Nothing bad to say though, comfy beds, clean and bright. They were superb with myself and my son James and I would definitely stay again. I have read reviews saying it isn’t great, but I have to disagree. It’s not a Hilton, and you’re not paying that price tag and it has more soul than that."
