This property is like the Jewel in the Crown!! Firstly, don't be put off by the small number of excellent reviews as it has only opened this year. The hosts, Katy and Olivier, were both working in England for many years at a high quality and popular hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. It has been a very pleasant stay for the whole family. Although we arrived later than planned and left in the morning, we could still feel that everything was prepared with care and attention to the detail. Lovely hotel in an excellent location, just a short walk into the old town but also on a street with plenty of amenities of its own. Free parking nearby in the Place Barbicane which was easy to find and close to the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and local products. The hotel garden was beautiful, and a cute if very small roof terrace too from which you can get a view of the city walls.

When we got there we discovered it was a very remote (quiet) rural, converted farmhouse offering modern room facilities and excellent breakfast. Absolutely fantastic 2-day stay in the Royal Suite at Le Château de La Seigne. It’s only a 10-minute drive from Carcassonne, and Ubers had no trouble picking us up right at the gate quickly.
