We had never been to Matlock Bath before, so took the opportunity for a two night stay on the way back from Cornwall to break the journey. Hodgkinson's Hotel was like staying with very attentive friends, couldn't have been better. The room was very large and had great views of the river, the food and wine were all to a high standard.
Lovely walks locally, the Heights of Abraham and caves were very interesting. Well worth the call into the Victorian Baths, now full of Koi Carp and good fun to feed them. Our visit was rounded off nicely by calling in the Denby Factory shop and some purchases.
