"We stayed one night in order to visit Talliston House in Great Dunmow. We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely and warm, cosy and had everything we needed. We appreciated the milk, beverages and cookies. Everything was clean, the beds were lovely and it was a very quiet area. The gardens looked lovely, but weather did not allow us to fully explore. The cooked breakfast was a lovely start to the day. Faultless stay. "

"This is a house on a residential street offering rooms for rent. I arrived at the property and called the number on the front door. The respondent was not very customer friendly and had me waiting around for 3 hours. I was finally given a key but no code to lock the room until I called again the next day. The property itself is pretty run down, has very thin walls, has a lingering smell of food in the air and has no daily cleaning service. I would only recommend if you desperately need a room...

"This veue showed rooms which did not resemble the one my wife and I had. The toilet bowl was manky, the shower hose leaked almost as much water as came out of the shower head. The shower cubicle itself looked unclean and was surrounded with mould. The pop-up plug in the sink had long since been broken and so would not stay in place to allow the sink to be filled. "Firstly, we had two properties cancell on us, both booked thru VRBO, so I'll never use them again! Secondly, this particular property cancelled on us at 11.13 am on the day of our stay! We were already in London, having travelled down from Preston to see Guns N Roses. The cancellation left three of us knee deep in the mire, and completely wrecked our weekend. "Really nice, spacious apartment. Comfortable bed. Excellent communication, even when i had a small issue getting into the apartment. They had me sorted within a couple of minutes."

"Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! "
