"We spent a one night stay at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and immediately wished it was for longer...The reception staff were exceptionally welcoming, indeed all staff were friendly and helpful. Fortunately, the Lake View resturant was open for dinner during our stay; the food was delightful, well presented and perfectly proportioned. The spa was lovely, especially, the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the gardens; which seemed a big hit with all of the guests...Overall we had a wonderful, restful stay and we fully intend to return in the very near future."

"Stayed here 6 yrs ago before we got msrried do decided to stay again for our anniversary. Hotel is perfectly situated for both the motorway and Gretna. Despite being at a service station it's quiet enough to not disturb your sleep. Rooms are clean and functional and perfect if you just need somewhere to sleep and shower."

"Had a lovely 2 day stay at the Grange Country House. When we got there we were greeted by Michael who was very welcoming and then to top it off he informed us we had been given a free room upgrade. Beautiful property. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, rooms were clean and comfortable and was in walking distance to Keswick.
