"The staff were extremely helpful, excellent. Charging £12 to park your car is a liberty. The Marko restaurant in the evening was very average, the steak was poor to say the least, my friends dish was better, salmon. Just ok. Waitresses were very good and helpful."

"Great location for Braintree, Chelmsford and stanstead airport, just off A120 . 5 min drive to Freeport . There’s a petrol station and carvery restaurant within walking distance . Room was on ground floor ( only downside you can hear upstairs if they are noisy ) otherwise tv is unusually loud volume ( mine was on 7 ) room was big with ironing board , hairdryer , proper mugs. Shower pressure was best ever 👍👍"

"Good nights sleep as an overnight stay before our flight in the morning. Very friendly staff and very good quality breakfast. Only improvement could have been better air conditioning as it was a bit too hot overnight in the room. Overall good stay though and would recommend."

"Excellent staff. Good breakfast. Our room was very small, but adequate for one night. Very good bathroom. Poor window adjustment. Shabby exterior - rotting window frames. A very characterful hotel. Good parking facilities."
