"We (with my two boys 9&7) stayed at Gloucester House for two nights. I don’t normally leave reviews but in this case with Jonathan and his staff being just fantastic I needed to. When we arrived Jonathan and his wife greeted us at the front door and welcomed us in. The location is perfect and right across from the beach front which my boys loved! "Stunning house, comfortable bed, lovley room with en-suite very lovley breakfast. We have had a lovely weekend stay at birch house, felt at home. Nice place to sit and chat with other guests. Would definitely book again "

"Sunday dinner was excellent, fish perfectly cooked and well presented, chicken tender and succulent with veg and a huge Yorkshire pudding. Desserts sumptuos, all washef down with decent Pinot and Armagnac. Penthouse accomidation is worth the premium for glorious views east and west, space, kingsize bed and bathrooms as well as formal dining space. Service from each and all staff was impeccable."

"Really comfortable stay in a beautiful house. Excellent hospitality and a superb and very generous breakfast. The owners also have a delicious Thai restaurant in Christchurch called the Ship which did absolutely delicious food. Excellent stay would totally recommend. "
