"Overall this was a good stay, helped by the very helpful and friendly staff and the large, quite comfortable room. Oh, and the evening meal was v. nice on both evenings (if a little pricey) However .... my room (number 6) had a window that just would not close properly, which was concerning and a bit chilly. Also, the TV reception was virtually non-existant. I did ask, but was given some explanation about work being underway to do something to something on the roof."

"We had a great stay, very clean room and the breakfast was really nice - so many choices. Our room has a few minor marks/ dirt but nothing to complain about. The receptionist on arrival could have been a bit friendlier/ welcoming. No parking available as they were fully booked/ reserved and the weather was awful we had to park a 10 minute walk down the road in the rain and wind."

"We thoroughly enjoyed joyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful and inviting. Breakfast buffet was wonderful and we really enjoyed our dinner in the Churchill lounge and Bar. Bathroom was great rnjoyed the heated towels!! Only comment,is our rooms floor slanted and so our heads were higher then our feet while sleeping and we felt lije we were slipping off the bed. . The slant also made you lose your balance. Other then that we loved it all."

"Staff helpful and welcoming. Excellent deal with evening meal and breakfast. Very comfy beds. Refurb going on but no problem. We were late eating due to Calais to Dover ferry customs delays but staff were obliging. Would definitely stay again"

"A very old building but clean and the staff were very helpful. I had a fall while staying (not in the hotel) and Sandra on reception was very concerned and assisted with ice for my bruises and also fetched my bags down on our departure date. Would go there again but request a slightly bigger room. Ours was a little small for two adults trying to get ready to go out!"
