Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices and service was great. Hotel is much newer than a few others that I've stay at, view from my room was of the north bund which is nice. Overall 4 stars because transports is not very convenient. No public transport nearby and very difficult to get a taxi.
This hotel is very affordable for a 5 star hotel. Staff speak English and very helpful. We only eat breakfast there but lunch & dinner at the surrounding restaurants approx 2 -5mins walk from the lobby. (Across road ). Free Wifi Internet but Facebook and all Google services are restricted. I VPN out while I was there to post on Facebook, they got on and blocked by VPN connection as well. Lol. Taxi available outside the lobby. Love the hotel and stuff. Thank you for a great experience from my wife and I.
Although my wife and I live in Shanghai we occasionally like to have a getaway where we can be pampered, relax have good food, and get away from the hustle and bustle of live in China. The Shangrila in Pudong is our favourite place to do this
Our stay in Shanghai was exceptional- so exceptional, in fact, that we never wanted to leave this hotel! The staff is extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Most of the staff speaks English very well; making it easy to ask for what you need or want. The location is great! You are definitely in the nicer part of town- downtown, business district, close to the pearl and shopping. Cab rides are cheap so getting anywhere is low cost and fairly quick- 15 mins to The Bund, 10 min walk to The Pearl and 15-20 to French Concession. Highly, highly recommend!

Excellent staff service all through the hotel: at both check in and out, the restaurant, the spa, and even when I requested an extended check out on last day (paid additional, which was fine with me). Room was clean, roomy, and newish. Right across the street from the new expo center. right above line 2 on the subway so very convenient transportation.

A luxurious hotel with excellent facilities, the views from the lobby and the bar on the 89th floor are amazing. The gym is great and the rooms very spacious. However can get annoying that you need to get two lifts from the ground floor to the your room. The Pudong area is quite sterile however that can be overcome with a short taxi ride over the river. Overall the stay was very pleasant.
We stayed at the IFC halfway through our trip to China. We loved the fact that we could do laundry and cook a meal or two. Shopping for food was a bit expensive but eventually we sourced out another mall about 20 minutes away. I loved the convenience of being connected to the IFC Mall. The night we arrived we walked out the mall exit/entrance and found an excellent restaurant that handmade all the dumplings and noodles. They even offered cheese dumplings which my daughter loved! The location is also fantastic close to sightseeing such as the Aquarium and the Pearl Tower. My only complaint was that front desk staff often seemed hurried and stressed. We had hoped that they would help us arrange car transportation to our next destination on Chongming Island. In an offhanded way they called metered cabs for us which ended up being way too expensive. We could have arranged for an overnight driver or an Uber car for the amount of money we paid for two metered cabs. This is the sort of help and advice I expected from a residence hotel.
A bustling center of commerce, Lujiazui's skyscrapers form the city's iconic skyline. The Jin Mao Building and Shanghai World Financial Center, the tallest building in China, are here, alongside the poetic silhouette of the Oriental Pearl Tower, where you can step into the sky on its glass bottom deck. Visitors can tour the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum or ferry to the historic Bund district.
