The hotel and service is super , the food is prefect , only issue to be the transportation , it takes time to walk from subway station to the hotel , of course the suttle mini van is a good help . Overall we do enjoy so much , we are planning the next trip to live again . Thanks a million .
The hotel is located in a more quaint part of the Pudong area - a respite from the hustle and bustle. Our concierge Owen did a great job helping us out with restaurant tips. Hotel condition is very good. Highly recommended!
The room was very clean and neat, with friendly staff always greeting us. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We forgot a gold and diamond ring in the room, and the hotel staff helped us find the ring and sent back to us within the same day.
Its the mandarin oriental what more can I say a 5 star luxury hotel the staff is exceptional transportation provided to the subway station with easy access to shopping and the bund hotel restaurants are great
Walking to the reception desk everyone was smiling and pleasant. Speaking English and offering to help with the luggage and quick check in. Hotel is clean, with spacious rooms and calming decorations. A variety of breakfast options that are not only delicious but also nicely presented. Spa massage was great!
I was very impressed with the timely response of staff who assisted with arranging a wonderful half day tour of Old Shanghai and the French Concession.
The hotel room was spacious and very clean.
Check in was also very smooth and David was very helpful in assisting with joining Fans of M.O. and readily assisted with explaining the many facilities at the hotel. I definitely enjoyed the high quality swimming pool and the spa treatment was another exceptional experience.
We absolutely loved this hotel. The facilities, the food, the spa, and the hotel staff in particular are really wonderful. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
It is a pleasant stay in Mandarin Oriental. Reception is very nice and upgraded my room to corner River view from River view room. Staff also offer help all the time
The staff were extraordinary. From every greeting, gesture, and conversation, it was done with such precise care and warmth. The hotel was absolutely beautiful down to the details.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Stayed six nights in a Twin Star Suite and got a corner room with a fantastic view of the river and city. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of options—from fresh pastries to a build-your-own congee station. We also received two complimentary laundry items per day, which was very convenient. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would highly recommend it to both first-time visitors and seasoned travelers.
This property was suggested as an alternative to the other five stars in the area and I’m really glad we tried it out. Incredible views, and rooms that were better than many big name hotels.
