You gotta love the light
The easy access to the hotel is what made me book it, you can go with the underground till Old Street and walk a couple of blocks, and there you are, in the Barbican City Hotel. The hotel is 15min on foot from the King's Cross station or if you walk in the other direction you arrive at the Tower Bridge. The reception has a great look and the people working there were always very gentle and smily. Going up to the room, the hotel facilities had a great look not too modern but not too old, the stateroom on the other hand was kinda odd. The old looking forniture and the short red courtain with yellow and green details were not very pleasant. The bathroom was good, very clean and the bath tube was very relaxing. It's the end of the summer so there's no need of AC turned on all the time, you can just switch to the ceiling fan that spins in a perfect speed so you sleep very well and wake up fresh new... oh, I forgot to mention something tho. In the morning, you don't need to set an alarm because the sun light coming through (what should be) the blackout courtain will wake you up. And the lack of different plugs and adaptors gave me a hard time switiching among my phone, camera and laptop for charging, I called the reception and they didn't have adaptors avaible, only for sale on the vending machine so you need to buy it if you want to recharge your devices. I didn't have breakfast or dinner in the hotel, I found it too expensive since I don't eat much.
