The Cumberland is conveniently located right around the corner from Marble Arch subway station. The hotel is in good condition and has everything you would need. The rooms are well-sized and well-equipped with coffee machine, kettle etc. The downsides are that the hotel is very big and the elevator system is not programmed to handle the amount of people. That means, people crowd in front of the elevator and you might need to let them go (as they are full) a few times before you finally get in. Luckily, we were on the first floor so opted for the stairs very often. However, staircases are few and can only be used to go down; to go up, you’d need staff to open the door for you. Similarly, the breakfast area is huge and has a good selection of food, but it is laid out that you end up lining up multiple times to get seated and to get food.

However, it's important to note that they are constantly balancing the speed of the lifts with other considerations, such as ensuring the security of our hotel and the safety of our guests. Fabulous hotel, already planning my next trip! Had a Gold King room for 3 adults, was spacious enough and had lovely unexpected features to it! Bar and restaurant area is great with live music. Food was delicious and 2 for 1 cocktails doesn’t get much better. Staff were all so friendly and would cater to any needs! Location is great also. Don’t change! Highly recommend!

Great location and right above the Marble Arch station. Family room was effectively the same as a double queen room in the states. Cool vibes as it was a previous Hard Rock Hotel. Hotel breakfast was crowded and not worth the cost if it's not included in your room package. Staff was kind. Shower ran very hot at times...this was consistent for all 4 nights we were there.

Our stay at the Cumberland was great! We had an issue when we first arrived with noise outside but we were moved to a different room right away. Our new room was very quiet, beds comfy, and the staff there were really nice. The location is great as it’s next to the tube and Hyde Park and within walking distance to groceries and restaurants.

this hotel is in a good location for anywhere in london on the tube we had breakfast 1 day at only £20 per person good value buffet plenty of choice there was an odour in the corridors at sometimes hotel could do with some touch ups in certain places although i would stay here again and reccomend

Reception area is has a good vibe and is cool. However if you want a decent nights sleep you may want to choose elsewhere. There was what seemed to be a party going on on our floor at 1am on a Monday night and it took the hotel staff 45 minutes to sort it out. Not a great experience and does not represent value for money

The room is modern and spacious with good facilities such as a Nespresso machine, bathrobes, walk in shower. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the location is superb.

I used to love this property, and have stayed there many times over the years. The food wasn't great. When walking to the room, it almost smelled like a dead mouse. That wasn't the bad part. The room was exactly what I had expected. During my stay a water pipe burst, and no hot water. I understand that things like that happen. I took a very cold shower and went about my day. When I got back it smelled like sewer gas. It was awful. I was offered a room change, but the entire hotel smelled. I checked out a day early.

Personnel very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Elevators a bit confusing and chaotic when several people involved. Lobby very noisy, but once in the room, quiet. All around very pleasant stay. Would recommend the hotel for fantastic location and great staff.

Great location, friendly staff, great restaurant downstairs and good buffet breakfast. However cleanliness was an issue. Room was moldy, house keeping did not come one day and when they did, things were not cleaned.
