Average Marriott but I wasn't aware it was in the heart of the middle eastern district.

Great location and great staff! Outdated though.

I love the staff. As an experienced traveller, I can say that this hotel benefits from the most friendly and respectable staff. They make you feel like home! Also, one can enjoy from the hotel's great location.. 5-10 minute commute (walking or tube) to most famous central areas. One more thing is that security in the hotel is fantastic. Anyone suspicious coming in can be stopped by security, which is great! However, the hotel is outdated and needs renovation! My room's bathroom facilities seemed old and the shower curtains were actually a bit brownish. Amenities in the bathroom weren't that great either. The hotel does charge a high amount of money, but I believe it's because of the high demand for hotels in that area by Gulf citizens. For me it's a 3 star hotel (even though hotel is 4).

Good hotel - next to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens

Posted 14-Aug-2016
Pros: Pool was warm, staff were friendly, location was good.
Cons: There were a lot of pillows, but they were too soft. Nicer if there was some variety. Also, should clean air intake to room to reduce allergens.
Location: Good location for Hyde Park, Kensington gardens, Oxford St shopping, access to tube & busses (Marble Arch). Also liked Victoria Pub & Spaghetti House
Good hotel. It's within easy walking distance of Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens. The staff were friendly and top notch. It's a few blocks (still walking distance) from the nearest Underground Tube (Marble Arch) and the tour bus lines (also Marble Arch). The view was "okay" (depends on which direction you're facing). The pool, hot tub, and work out area are great. (However you may have to switch elevators to get to it--as only 1 lift goes to that floor.) The room was clean and the temperature was comfortable/controllable. We didn't get a chance to eat in the Executive Lounge, but the 1st floor cafe/bar was great--with their service and food.

Great hotel with extremely helpful staff. The hotel is located in an area with quite a few hukka bars, but is very close to Hyde park and Soho.

Decent budget hotel, close to shopping

Room was okay, bed was firm. It's fine for back sleepers, but not very comfortable for side sleepers. Stepping in and out of bath was challenging, as the height of the bath is quite a bit more than the bathroom floor. It doesn't seem like much, until you try to get out. Hotel restaurant has a good breakfast buffet. Decent little gym. They charged for WiFi, which was okay, but not great.
