Short of the Mark

Posted 27-May-2017
On edgewater rd a 100% arabic neighborhood you can quickly tire of the uniform food offerings although the late night availability of some shops including an all night (literally) shwarma hole in the wall is nice. However, turning left instead of right and you end up in Marlyebone with many of the other delights you expect from London close by. The rooms are small but surprisingly quiet and comfortable. For the price and given the Marriott name I was hoping for a somewhat higher level of "luxury".

No rooms given even after confirmed booking

Posted 09-Apr-2017
This experience was very shocking as even after a confirmed booking on Expedia, I was denied the room on check-in and was asked to go into a different hotel. There was no communication sent before, but a day after when this all happened. Don't recommend this hotel at all and also this instance raises questions on authenticity of bookings on Expedia.

Great Staff, Location- Tired Facilities

Posted 17-Mar-2017
Pros: Convenient Location, Friendly Staff
Cons: Hotel condition and amenities
Location: Shopping on Oxford Street, and Hyde Park, are moments away. The Duke of Kendal pub (couple of blocks) has great atmosphere.
Stayed at the Marriott Marble Arch when other Marriott options in London were not available. Overall it was a satisfactory experience. The location is great (five minute walk to Hyde Park, a couple of minutes further to Marble Arch tube station and Oxford Street) and the hotel staff were uniformly friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a bit tired and can use updating - which, I understand, is underway. Once complete this will be a great option for those looking for a moderately priced hotel in central London.

Great Place to Stay

Posted 26-Feb-2017
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were great and there was plenty of room for four people in the room.
Cons: The mattress was very firm. The pillows gave zero support, no substance to them. Completely flat 2 seconds after you put down your head.
Location: Centrally located in zone 1 of the underground. All the big attractions were just a couple tube stops away, literally 15 minutes away by underground.
Very nice hotel, fabulous staff, nice central location about a 5 minute walk from the Marble Arch underground station. The room was very nice, but the mattress was too firm.

Just what we needed.

Pros: Staff.
You know what you are going to get with Marriott but even by their high standards the staff here were excellent, especially our welcome from Amy on reception. Lovely warm pool, excellent breakfast, good location. Thanks.

A warm welcome from excellent reception staff. A great hotel with really quiet bedrooms. It was our second visit and we will definitely be back again next Christmas.

Nice hotel close

Posted 23-Dec-2016
Nice hotel close to underground station. Just around the corner from great shopping and easy to get everywhere. Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. They knew every bus number and tube plan to get you anywhere easy. Overall very pleased with our stay!
