Good hotel, close to underground station

Posted 04-Aug-2015
Pros: Location and condition of room. Friendly staff, quite helpful.
Cons: Bar facilities, (draft beer, lager for example) Bath/shower could be better accessibility. Staff knew I was disabled.
Location: Russell Square is close to a nice park with cafe and tube station. Also close to British museum and other London attractions.
Quiet street in nice residential area, yet close enough to city to walk to Covent Garden Leicester Square etc. we were upgraded to an executive room no extra charge, it was very nice, but as a person with poor mobility the shower was difficult to access due to height of bath side. Bed was too hard for me, but room was very nice. bar was limited as there were no draft beers. Didn't try breakfast, it was an extra, we chose to go out for food

Inconsistent room size

Posted 17-Jul-2015
Pros: The staff
Cons: Book doubles in a double room and only singles in a single room. Don't stuff a double bed in a single room and call it a double.
Location: Well centered in London on a low traffic street
Stayed a few days at beginning of trip and a second time at the end of the trip. First visit room was far too small. I Booked a double room. There was absolutely no space. One suitcase was on floor halfway out of the closet and blocking the entry door and the second suitcase on floor blocking the table. This should have been a single room at best. On second visit, same booking of double room. There was a stand for one suitcase, and room in closet to contain the other. This was reasonable. I think I did not get what I paid for on the first visit. I would not book with them again.

Nice hotel, shame about the breakfast cost

Posted 01-Jun-2015 on Hotels
Hotel was very nice but I hadn't realised the cost didn't include any breakfast. The of the breakfast at the hotel was scandalously high and under normal circumstances we would have refused to eat there had we known it wasn't included beforehand. Timings meant we had no other option, but be warned if your are staying here!

Samlet set o.k.

Personalet var søde og hjælpsomme. Værelset var lille, og gulvet skrånede en del, men overordnet set var det fint nok til prisen.

Basement room

Sadly we were given a basement room (i would never have book it had I known) which was poorly ventilated and the TV was broken, but apart from that the stay was fine.

Bank Holiday Weekend Break

Posted 09-May-2015
Pros: Location and the spacious room
Cons: Probably have a facility in the bar for a frothy coffee maker but they I believe are available in adjoining Grange Hotels in the same street.
Location: Its London!!
Stayed at this hotel for only one night and found it an excellent one in terms of location which was on a quiet and attractive part of London. Standard double room we had was the largest and most spacious one we have ever had in London. In addition, the room overlooked a lovely green. Dont know if all their standard rooms were that size probably doubt it but it is such a quiet and lovely location I would recommend the The Grange Clarendon to anyone. Staff were pleasant friendly and helpful.and was excellent value.

It was too noisy you could hear people walking upstairs and outside. The bed was comfortable It would have been useful to have a fridge in the room Decor needed attention
