Luxury, class and impeccable taste. This hotel is not only well located but well appointed. Clean, modern and yet classic. A gem.

Sehr schönes Hotel in zentraler Lage.

Posted 09-Aug-2015

Birthday break with my daughter (midweek)

Posted 04-Aug-2015
We arrived early and were met by lovely reception staff who acknowledged that it was my daughters birthday. We were not given enough information about the hotel and actually only used our room and no other facilities. The room was very small but adequate but the curtains were velcro-ed to the wall so we had no natural light (on a summers day?!). On using the bathroom we found a spent toilet roll by the side of the toilet and a ball of fluff behind the door. Disappointed as we had paid approx £250 for this stay. We did mention this on checkout and the male receptionist apologised. The hotel provided chocolates and fruit and a lovely birthday message for my daughter - a lovely touch. I would return but probably not rush to. We normally stay at The Covent Garden Hotel or Ham Yard so it was an opportunity for this hotel to win our business. Sadly they didn't. Hotel location is good. Staff are courteous.

Nice & convenient

Posted 02-Aug-2015
Pros: acceptable, but a bit expensive for what we get
the hotel is right near the subway station, nice clean hotel, breakfast was quite nice. There's only a total of 6 floors.. We paid to upgrade to a bigger/nicer executive room on the 4th floor. We can hear the traffic noise from our room.

In the Middle of it All

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Pros: The staff! Always smiling, courteous, and helpful. The rooms were above average.
Cons: Loosen up the shower door.
Location: St. James Park and Buckingham Palace were only moments away. The underground was right across the street, making it possible to get all around town.
We enjoyed 4 days at the St. James. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was always clean and comfortable. But we did get a chuckle out of one incident. We noticed that a second door in the bathroom seemed to be locked for most of our time there. We couldn't seem to open it. Finally, on our last day there, I managed to push it open --- lo and behold, a real shower. Evidently the rubber along the bottom of the door was sticking and we thought it was locked. But we finally did get to enjoy a great shower. The location of St. James was perfect. We were right in the middle of many attractions with only a few minutes walk. We loved St. James Park!!!!

Excellent 5 star Hotel

Posted 24-Jul-2015
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Close to everything in central London.
Everything was perfect from being greeted at check in, to the bar / restaurant. I could have stayed a month.
