Booked as a last minute shopping trip accommodation and what a pleasant surprise, hotel was lovely and every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, we went for a special menu at night and had a fantastic meal , Will certainly go back

On the online booking form we requested a quiet room on the top floor and that is exactly what we got plus the added bonus of a lovely view of the abbey and other historic buildings. The hotel is located well away from the main road so no traffic noise. We had a meal in the bistro which had a good variety on the menu, all reasonably priced as were the drinks. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We didn't have breakfast but were told by other guests that it was excellent. I would recommend this...

Check-in was slow and uninformative but every other aspect of our stay was fantastic

Very well run city/town centre hotel. Very clean, great central location, good breakfast and nice restaurant & bar. The only negative was the lack of free parking spaces for hotel residents (only 6). Although there is an inexpensive pay & display car park at the rear of the hotel, with access to the hotel.

Girlfriends 24th birthday so we stayed in the junior suite and it is one of the best views and rooms I have ever stayed in.

We stayed here to celebrate my husbands special birthday. From the moment we drove up and saw the impressive ship we knew we were in for a special treat. Everything about this place is incredible. The staff were so helpful and very welcoming. You helped make my husbands birthday treat a very special memory. Thank you !

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price. Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?) If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St. We'll stay here again. Loved it.

Just got home from a weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful... breakfast options were great and swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. My only bad point was the mattress wasnt all that but maybe its be being fussy. Netherless a beautiful place and we will be back in the summer

The Murrayfield Hotel is the gem of Edinburgh. I had the pleasure of staying 4 nights. It’s a quick bus ride to Edinburgh Castle. In a great old neighbourhood of Edinburgh with excellent local shops, a few restaurants and cafes nearby. The room. My room had very high ceilings with the original plaster work. The hotel is a collection of beautiful heritage stone mansions. The room had been recently renovated with very nice furniture, TV and a comfortable big bed. The bathroom again recently...

Hotel and Spa staff were very welcoming and helpful. Chef was amazing cooked a special vegan meal for my daughter each night we ate in hotel, as there was nothing suitable for her on menu. Room was comfortable and we had everything we required (only feedback I would give is that it would have been more useful to have a couple more sockets available). I wasn't sure what to expect but this Holiday Inn is one of the best run hotels i have stayed in. I mean everything just gels here. The staff are quite honestly astoundingly good. From walking in the door they were warm and friendly and just so welcoming. The room was spotless, including tea/coffee making things. And the breakfast is wonderful. 10/10 to all of you we will be back for sure.
