Sandwiched between the coasts of England and France, the idyllic island of Jersey has formed its own unique identity over the years. The island's blend of picturesque landscapes and exquisite hotels, bars and restaurants has made it the most popular of the Channel Islands for holidaymakers. Incidentally, it's also home to the broadest array of attractions, with something to suit every budget and taste. One of Jersey's foremost attractions is Les Mielles Golf and Country Club, which is located in the west of the island, near some of the very best accommodation on the island.
Les Mielles Golf Club
The golf club at Les Mielles takes full advantage of the spectacular natural location. With views out over St. Ouen's Bay, it can be a challenge to keep your attention on the tricky par 70 course. With a varied collection of dog-legs, hazards and water on the course, it's no surprise that this western golf club is used for regular competition, making it one of the most popular on the island.
The Country Club
At the centre of the country club is Rocco's, a restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and a mouth-watering menu. There are plenty of kids' activities around the site, making it a big hit with families. Things to entertain the kids include laser clay pigeon shooting, mini golf and even a segway rally. The county's club is available to hire for corporate events and private parties.
Hotels near Les Mielles Golf and Country Club
This picturesque part of the island welcomes a good number of visitors each year. Quite apart from the country club and golf club, there's a nature reserve and several excellent beaches. As you'd expect, this means there's no shortage of fine hotels in this part of Jersey.
The south-west, in particular, is home to some of the best-loved hotels in Jersey. The Atlantic Hotel sets the standard high with its stunning ocean views and first-class facilities, which include tennis courts and a blissful swimming pool.
The bulk of the other hotels in the south-west of Jersey are located on the beachfront in charming St. Brelade. There's good swimming to be had and ample room for sunbathing on the sandy beach.
