"This wonderful home has it all. It is centrally located to all the wonderful attractions in the South Coast. Very spacious, but warm and inviting. The gourmet kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day of hiking. We were able to see a wonderful Northern Lights display with the wide open land around us. Would recommend and would stay here again on another trip to Iceland."

"We enjoyed our stay. The location was central for us to use as a hub to take day trips out and back from. It was just the right size for two. The guesthouse was clean and bright and we were greeted by chickens and a rooster upon arrival."

"The Lake House was beautiful and clean. It was a great spot to start all our adventures traversing the South side of Iceland. We arrived later in the day and had a bit of an embarrassing mix-up with our directions. However, Renate was very nice about us driving into the horse training area, sorry again for that. She was also very responsive to all our needs and our stay was just wonderful. We did not see the Northern Lights, but that may just mean we have to go back. Next time during a month...

"An adorable quiet and private cabin with everything needed to live and cook comfortably. Ideally a washer/dryer on site would be preferred (although washing in the sink and drying on the radiator works fine). It’s ideally located for day trips around the golden circle including 2 different thermal soaking pools within 30 minute drives. You can even see the geyser erupt from the deck. The door lock sticks but we eventually figured it out."

"Great location for anyone wanting to explore the southern coast. In a quiet neighborhood located near plenty of food options. Very clean and comfortable. Playground just a short walk away if you have kids too. Will definitely stay here again"

"Wir waren für 4 Tage in dieser Unterkunft. 4Erwachsene und 1Kleinkind (13Monate). Es hat alles super geklappt.Bei Fragen gab es schnell die Antwort. Die Unterkunft an sich, ist an machen stellen etwas verlebt, aber das tut dem Wohlfühlfaktor keinen Abbruch. So war es zumindest bei uns. Da die Unterkunft schon etwas klein ist,war es mit 4 Erwachsenen und 1 Kind für die 4 Tage ok.. Direkt in der Nähe kann man Höhlen besichtigen...1min Fußweg. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden."

We just had a bit of trouble getting the hot water going and the pipes make a lot of noise while you use the shower, but other than that, we loved it here and would love to come back! "We stayed at Klara’s Villa for the second half of our Iceland trip. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the Golden Circle, Reykjanes peninsula and the south coast. "What a wonderful house. The house sits beside a lake with panoramic views of mountains and water. Centrally located to many attractions on the Golden Circle. Very comfortable beds and the house is well appointed with a large kitchen/living space and deck. So relaxing to go back to after a day of seeing sites. "We stayed five nights in April 2024. We were treated to the Northern Lights our first night. The house is spacious, clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable. It sleeps ten in beds. The area is super quiet. The hot tub is pristine. The host was great and had good documents. The trash/recycling system could be a little more well documented. We did the golden circle, two hot springs and the southern beaches (where we saw Puffins!) Great stay, thanks so much!"

"The house was as described and had everything we needed. It was spacious and accommodated our group of 6 very well. We did have a need and it was taken care of immediately by the property owners. We even were able to see the northern lights a couple days!"

"This house was great for three couples. Three bedrooms. One big full bathroom with another bathroom with a toilet, which was perfect to have. Kitchen was equipped plus the outdoor grill.
