But the front desk/customer service was lacking in both visibility and accessibility. Perhaps in the off-season when there aren’t as many visitors, they just concentrate on when the restaurant is open from 5 PM to 9 PM. We ate there twice and the food was great. Facilities feel a bit older, but okay for a short stay. Our cottage had a larger bed with a single bunk built above it. A little tight for 3 adults, but would be perfect for parents and a teen/kid. Bunch of cottages situated together with a few shared public hot tubs in the middle. It was centrally located for the various sites we wanted to see during our brief stopover in Iceland. The cabins were charming. We would have liked to have had blackout curtains in the living room and not just the bedroom, but everything was clean and comfortable. Chalet style accommodation. A bit dated. Bedroom which has a double and single bunk above very small with bud against wall. Kitchen within living area. Kettle but no teabags or coffee. If you are staying bring your own and some basic provisions for breakfast.
