Our stay at Hotel Ungheria was great! Good room with airco, facilities, great breakfast and excellent helpfull service throughout. A spotless and very well run family hotel. Varese itself is lovely, as well as centrally located, especially if you like to travel by public transport. Milan, Como, Lugano and more are nearby, including Lake Varese (cycle lane around it), Villa Panza and Sacro Monte. Fully recommended.

Very friendly staff at this perfectly situated hotel in a lovely lakeside town with lots to do - swimming in the gorge of Santa Ana a particular highlight.

All the staff were fantastic and they made us feel welcome. If we difficulty in getting to some destinations, they came to our aid. When we had problem with our hair dryer and electricity the responded immediately. They were just brilliant!!

Absolutely fantastic, Mario and his team were exceptional, they made us feel right at home, very attentive and helpful. Beautiful surroundings, it’s quite the experience, lovely food and views which are just stunning. Fully recommended

Loved my stay here, dinner in restaurant was amazing and breakfast outstanding. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Even gave us a lift to train station so we could eat breakfast. Outstanding.

The hotel were very accommodating to both our needs of a room suitable for travelling with a toddler and a disabled guest. The room was very spacious and every detail of the hotel had an Italian feel about it. The food was very tasty. My little boy had his first experience sleeping in a cot bed which he loved. Luckily he is old enough as this was the only option for babies although he did fall out once in the night. Really enjoyed our stay here, highly recommend it.

Stayed in an Executive Double Room Lake View for 4 nights. Fabulous break. Hotel was outstanding and we could not have wished for a more attentive service. Made to feel special. Excellent concierge service, even buying our rail tickets for Milan from the station. The most wonderful breakfast experience - fabulous spread and choice and particularly enjoyed the Homemade yogurt. homemade Jams, homemade breads homemade croissants (4 varieties) all too delicious, finishing with a Prosecco....

Hotel it was good and clean staff very good and frendly. I'm really recomendet that hotel.

Junior suite was amazing, large room with a huge bathtub! Separate toilet and shower too. Bed was large and comfortable. Room was clean in all areas too.

I stayed at the Villa Vergante Veronesi for two nights 13th and 14th August with my wife and daughter. Overall this was a truly delightful stay. However note the following: This is an older mansion of historic value with art and antiques from before the modern plastic age. Book with this in mind and you will not regret your choice. The staff were really helpful and welcoming. Their restaurant is closed on a Monday, but they gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner and free bus ticket to get there. The hotel is very clean, bathroom was a good size and the beds very comfortable. The air con was very welcome! It has a wine vending machine!

Such a lovely place to stay with a courtyard for off-road parking. The Italian owner helpfully spoke good English. He said he also spoke other languages as well. It is right on the edge of the lake and the front rooms have a view over the lake and the back rooms have a delightful view of the mountainside and over look a courtyard with typical Italian buildings.
