Loved this resort so much, it was breathtaking. The only issue would be that it’s far out so if you have a car then no problem but if not it cost us 400 euros to get back to the airport (Bergamo) and 250 euro to get there from MXP airport.

Hotel was very clean with a very nice free breakfast

This place is magical! A nice peaceful haven in a popular stretch of the lake. We enjoyed the suite room which gave our family the ability to stay together in one sizable room (after many days of having to book 2 hotel rooms elsewhere on our trip). The pool is lovely, grounds are stunning. Lake activities at your doorstep.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful & well maintained in every detail. Kudos to the gardening staff for the magnificent surroundings bathed in the scent of jasmine. Spa experience (massage & facial) was excellent. My lake view superior room was lovely, clean. I’d think twice before staying here again for 1 reason: the sub-standard food. We dined at Il Borromeo 3 times & none of our dishes were hot nor prepared as ordered. They came out of the kitchen too quickly after ordering so we gathered they were pre-made. One night we ordered Wagyu steaks, medium rare. They were thin cut, served COLD & medium well; vegetables & sauce also stone cold. Sent them back & received well done meat. Sent that back & ordered the tagliata steaks, medium rare …got medium. The cacio e pepe was lukewarm, veal without flavor. The carbonara was also lukewarm & sticky rather than creamy. Bread was hard & lacked flavor. As for the breakfast served in Il Borromeo all the various croissants were dry (so disappointing). The lone bright spot for dining is Le Bistrot — the poolside snack bar! Great food there. Other small things need work: water bottles not replaced during our 4 day stay, no mint at turndown is odd for a 5-star, CNN not working even though we reported it twice. At check in Reception did not have a record of my pre-booked spa appointment & said *I* should call the spa to confirm. (Umm, no, that’s your job, Sir.) Restaurant staff more concerned about breaking down tables than serving guests.

this was a stunning hotel. It was exceptionally clean. It made me feel like I was leading lifestyles of the rich and famous. The spa was wonderful. We had a massage and I had a facial that was wonderful. We ate at Mistral their restaurant and this was an experience, but it is very expensive. They had a piano player in the lobby most evenings that was very, very nice. There are other restaurant was also very good and they have a very pretty pool. The views from our room were just superb. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It was so memorable. They also have a very good fitness center but you have to be very fit to get to the fitness center. It is up a hill and in a separate building. Bellagio is a lovely town so it is a lovely place to stay to get the feel of Lake Como.
