The hotel is in a short walking distance from Nijo train station and Nijo subway station. Nijo train station is 2 stops on a local train from Kyoto Station, or one stop for. Kyoto Station is you get a rapid train, and it costs 190 Yen per ticket between Kyoto station and Nijo. Nijo Subway is 4 stops away from Keihan Subway which is in/ near the popular Gion area, and tickets cost 210 Yen per trip for four stops. There is a handy supermarket between the Nijo station or subway and the hotel. We got many good value bento boxes, sashimi packs and Japanese sweets there. Check in was very efficient. The room was comfortable and cleanand quiet. On the seventh floor, guests have free use of the spa facilities. The women’s spa room has a pass code which is changed every day. There is a cafe/dining area on the first floor (ground floor). This hotel is good value for money. Check out was very fast. They also offer a phone with free wifi and phone calls which you can take with you on your daily trips around town. Wifi in the room was very good. It is a safe area, and not too crowded or touristy.
