An amazing blend of modern with Japanese decor. Well appointed rooms with comfortable bed, amazing overhead rain shower, and decent square footage for luggage. Perfect location for shopping, Nishiki market, fabulous restaurants, etc. all walkable. The Bettei side is higher end with more in room and property amenities. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel and very friendly and attentive staff. The room was spacious and the baths were very relaxing and well maintained. The highlight for us was getting to go up on the terrace and getting to use the foot baths while enjoying the city view. The staff were outstanding, the facility was spotless and beautiful, the open-air baths supremely relaxing, the rooftop bar & foot soak a perfect way to end a day of shightseeing and we had everything we could have possibly thought of. Really enjoy the location of this hotel. You can walk to Gion and Nishiki market. The rooftop bar offers a nice view toward Gion district. That bar also has foot soak. Fun hotel to stay at. I would come back.
