The hotel itself is tucked away on one of Kyoto’s most private and picturesque walking streets, lined with traditional inns and beautiful old structures. It feels like stepping into another world, quiet, elegant, and deeply rooted in tradition. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with high-quality amenities and a traditional bathtub. The in-room Japanese breakfast was an unforgettable highlight, beautifully prepared, seasonal, and unlike anything we’ve experienced elsewhere. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Kyoto. This is a truly exceptional boutique hotel that captures the essence of Japanese hospitality. The futons/pillows/linens were very comfortable, & the bathroom was beautiful. The room was filled with thoughtful amenities: green tea, Nespresso pods, rice crackers, soaking salts for the bath, etc. The staff took such good care of us & made us feel so cared for. They helped us with dinner reservations, made wonderful recommendations for meals & bars, & accepted our luggage for an early arrival - all of which helped to make our stay stress-free. We had the traditional Japanese breakfast, which was delicious.
