"Not being able to charge to the room is a real pain and puts me off visiting hotels. Like the last Macdonald hotel chain I stayed at this week week the food selection was minimal but the quality was good. "

"Lovely clean property with everything we needed. We were met by Victor, the host, who was busy gardening when we arrived. He was extremely friendly and kindly left us some goodies in the house which were greatly appreciated. We would definitely use this beautiful little property again."

"Fab hotel with plenty of on-site parking and lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for you to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The bar man even opened up the bar for us to have a nightcap after hours. The breakfast was amazing with a great choice on offer and so tasty. Both the daytime food menu and drinks menu were quite comprehensive in their offerings (although we didn’t eat here as we were at a wedding) and there was ample places to sit and relax including a lovely outside beer garden. The room was super clean and had everything you would need; tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, there was even a proper coffee machine if that took your fancy. The TV had a variety of channels available inc Netflix. The bathroom was a good size with a beautiful walk in shower and free toiletries. In fact I couldn’t fault this hotel at all and would definitely stay here again and without hesitation recommend to anyone who was staying in the area."

"Stayed one night when attending a wedding in the castle. Can only recommend on my visit. Looked after by Cathy from arrival until breakfast next morning. Had dinner at Crown hotel a few mins from hotel and 10% discount on food was applied for hotel guests. Mind flash the key fob to let them know before the bill is on table. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast was served and tea/ coffee top ups were no trouble if asked for. Recommend the Kirkstyle if staying in the area."
