"Staff from the front desk to the sundries store were NOT customer service stars at all, there was an undertone of job misery throughout, which is terrible to be around. I would also say that, while billed (and billed $$) as a luxury resort, this Grand Hyatt needs to do better - everything from the door to our room to the poolside chairs need some updating - it’s getting a little old/tattered. This is basically a cruise ship on land and anything besides ice and water were extra charges - FYI....

"A beautiful resort property and location on Hanalei Bay with excellent service and friendly, attentive staff. The food choices are limited, but the quality of food is very good. The only downside is that for the price, it would be nice if some activities were included (e.g. snorkel equipment) or the many daily activities offered by the resort were more affordable. Then again, you aren’t booking this place in the first place if you are on a tight budget."
