If you want a friendly welcome good food .tidy room at a fair price this is the place to stop over, I was well impressed with the overall experience and if i am in the area i will use the Horton pub again.

Honestly this was the MOST perfect stay for a new forest adventure. i cannot tell you how special this place is you just need to go an experience it for yourself. Special shout out to ALL the staff, they were just as perfect as the room was. thank you thank you thank you. it was a dream.

Fantastic one might stay for a wedding. Huge room and bathroom, tea and coffee and Tv in the room. Super clean and friendly owner. Excellent breakfast all freshly cooked along with cereals and fruit. Parking on site and easy walking to the town. Will definitely go back.

Lovely big room full of character

Had a wonderful stay (4 nights in the Stables). The Inn is set in beautiful countryside, and I loved the quaintness of the building, lots of different areas to sit in to eat or have a drink, and a nice covered seating area outside. Friendly hotel and restaurant in a beautiful location by the river Stour and. nature reserves - ducks, swans, herons ... Served by hourly bus direct from Poole, or use the very frequent services to Kinson and walk 11-15 minutes across the nature reserve

Lovely hotel and decor, recently been refurbished. Excellent value and great food. Breakfast was lovely with a fantastic choice! Would definitely recommend to family or friends and if in te area, will book again.

Our stay was very pleasant. Exceptionally friendly staff, particularly Sarah, who always went above and beyond to satisfy our every need Bedroom was a tad small. Food was excellent, with a really good variety to choose from. Breakfast in the Pullman was very different and most enjoyable. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed at one of their beautiful and uniquely design luxury bedroom, absolutely loved it. The bar downstairs is great and very cosy, they aeved great choices for breakfast and the staff were helpful and nice. Would stay again.

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend break, and we were both very happy with the hotel. From the friendly and welcoming staff, to the little extras in our spotlessly clean room, everything exceeded our expectations. Dinner was excellent, and the cooked breakfasts were agood way to start the day! We would highly recommend for anyone looking for a weekend away.

Excellent hotel, super friendly staff and food superb

Never really write reviews but maybe that goes some way to show how impressed I was. Staff feel as though they care about the place and in a world where customer service in hospitality is struggling it was so refreshing. Will definitely be back next time I have to stay in the area. Food was excellent for the price point.

I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over.

Service was amazing from the moment we stepped inside. We had a drink in the bar before we went out, and we both said we wished we were staying at the hotel for dinner as the service was brilliant.
