Holiday Inn Hull Marina by IHG

"We had an accessible room as I asked for a walk in shower due to a disability & this property has none. The room was very large with a balcony which if you were in a wheelchair you wouldn’t be able to access as it had a high step up & down onto it. The room desperately needs updating, there are minimal lights. Two on the wall between the beds one by the door & another over the kettle area which is next to the door! The rest of the room where the seating area is was in complete darkness, so if you wanted to relax & maybe read a book it was completely out of the question. There are limited plug sockets two by the tv which if you wanted to do your hair you couldn’t because of the darkness & also they are so close to the desk my hairdryer plug wouldn’t fit in. If you need to use medical equipment at night this would be impossible because there are no sockets next to the beds. On a positive note the staff in the restaurant went above and beyond to help us, we were a large party eating on Saturday evening & the food was excellent, one of the best steaks I have had. We asked for a table for us all for breakfast which they accommodated for us & again the staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble in the restaurant. They could do with another member of staff to help in the bar because it was very busy & we had to wait a long time to be served, which isn’t a reflection on the person serving just large parties ordering drinks."

"Been on the road going on 3 weeks- different room each night. This was hands down the best. Location maybe not ideal for some. Spacious room though offered absolute quiet, total darkness, nice bedding and hard to find air con. Made for the perfect sleep finally. Plus a broad offering of the included breakfast. Recommended."
