The Highworth Hotel

3.5 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (147)
"We booked this last minute as a
dog
friendly hotel to meet friends. We were given a very warm welcome and staff were very hospitable and helpful throughout our visit. We stayed in Highgrove room which was a very good size and very clean. It was genuinely clean rather than chemically clean which you often find in
dog
friendly rooms. The food was very nice but the choice was restricted compared to the online menu. "

The Plough Inn

2.5 star property
7.2 out of 10, Good, (76)
"Disappointing, no free car park as advertised. Room had a wonky floor although the twin bed was comfortable. Right by a busy main road so expect traffic noise. Pub does not service food but great bistro options 5-10 mins walk into Highworth. Biggest frustration was the shower did not work, the bath did not have hot water abs so I had to wash my hair under the cold tap in the bath. Would definitely not return"
