"So checkin staff was great, but rooms were so tired, and whole place was dark and miserable. Parking was basically in the service station, which did not feel at all secure. Again, staff were great and helpful."

"What we liked: Superior sea view room, with breathtaking scenery. Really lovely woodland paths around the hotel to get lost in, and only a 15 minute walk from Grange Over Sands. Bed was very comfy and staff were very friendly and helpful. What could be better: Cleanliness of the bathroom. Clearly marked vegan options or more readily available vegan options on the dinner and bar menus - it was a bit tricky working out what we could eat!"

"Hotel was comfortable, room larger than expected & shown in photos. Rooms overlooking the car park can be a little noisy, and affected by the smell of smoke, but that is due to inconsiderate people rather than a hotel issue!"

"I liked so much of it. Draw back for me as a 62 yr old woman travelling alone was the dining experience. Both at dinner and breakfast I was put in the middle of the room where I felt vulnerable. I did say something but they said it was what they had available. I did book a month or two ago so this wasn’t a last minute thing. I guess there will be those whose who don’t understand my concerns but there will be many others that will get it totally. Otherwise the room and lounges were all excellent."

"The parking was easy & we walked everywhere in the town so didn’t use the car at all. The staff in the bar were friendly and helpful. We ate there both nights."
