Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. Breakfasts lovely [ my favourite is the scrambled egg with smoked salmon ] Suppers also delicious. Good menu selection with Sea Bass & Rump Steak being my choices ( on 2 different occasions - - I should add.! ). Dog friendly - which is important if you want to have your pooches with you which we did. Allocated a downstairs room which is delightful with excellent shower & loo facilities. Would we want to stay here again. You bet !! PRB

This property is in an idyllic location and you can walk on Dartmoor straight from the garden. The staff were the best bit, all really friendly and efficient. Extra Dog treats, bowl and ball were added extra touches that made the stay even more special.

Lovely people. Very friendly. It’s not the Ritz but you do get what you pay for, and as such, it’s excellent. We had a lovely time.

We've stayed at The Cornish Arms on many occasions and it never fails to disappoint. Fantastic welcoming staff, wonderful food (dinner and breakfast) and a well-appointed and luxurious room.

Great staff, friendly and attentive. Amazing food, real ale, extensive wine list. Reminiscent of how hotels used to be before corporate takeovers

Spotlessly clean room, nicely decorated and really great en-suite. Evening food excellent with really friendly hotel team. Only slight down side (for us) was Sunday breakfast didn't start until 8am. Fine for many but we (and another guess) had somewhere to be at 9am, meaning breakfast was very very rushed.

Lovely place, lovely setting. Convenient for a Plymouth but quiet and picturesque, fantastic walks along the Yealm. And a great pub.

Very good service. Location on Darrmoor. Spa facilities. Walking distance to village. Views of Haytor and Dartmoor.

This was a quick overnight stay on the drive back from Cornwall. The off-street parking and affordability were key in our purchase. Our room was clean and spacious, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

Everything was perfect, from the room to the food!

Absolutely fabulous. Go and stay there - whether you are in the area or not! The best welcome I've ever had in any commercial place of stay - better than some friends! Beautifully done, lovely touches everywhere and wonderfully thoughtful service. Thanks you!

Our week stay at Collaven Manor was delightful, rooms very clean and welcoming, Our breakfasts were delicious and served by a very friendly member of staff. Highly recommended

I booked a room for a Monday and Tuesday night as a treat for my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary. I wanted somewhere special and the Hotel delivered it for me. We were met on arrival and our car parked for us. The bags were taken to the room. The room was on the top floor overlooking the valley. The views of the English countryside were fabulous. The room had recently been renovated and has tea and coffee making facilities and some complimentary sloe gin (appreciated by my wife). The...

Well worth the visit, fab location and lovely country hotel. The restaurant is worth a visit as great local food cooked to perfection.

Beautiful old Elizabethan mansion that presents immaculately and gives you a real sense of history. Fantastic service - nothing is too much for all the staff. I will be returning.

A beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very good standard of food. The classic room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Perfect for a relaxing break once you have negotiated the 1.5 mile single track road to the hotel!
